Barbara Caton

(Texas Licensed Massage Therapist MT#117709, Cranio-Sacral Therapist, Deep Tissue, Prenatal, Myofascial, Spinal Release, Massage Therapist for Special Needs)

Barbara has a background in Business Administration and Teaching. She had earned her degree in Business in 2006 and geared toward tutoring and teaching High School students focusing primarily in Physics, Calculus, and College Prep in a program called  Boy's and Girl's Club of America. When she decided to start her family, she made herself readily available as a homemaker to home school her two children.  Barbara relocated to Austin in 2010 and delve deeply into holistic living. She completed primary education from The Lauterstein-Conway School of Massage and advanced in specializations such as Cranio-Sacral Therapy under Shane Melear, and Myofascial Release and Spine techniques under Richie Mintz. She took on extra schooling focusing on the special needs population that includes Amputees, Cerebral Palsy, Autism, Spina Bifida, etc.,  and decided that was where her heart was and so for her that was the way to go. However, it seemed that the more that was learned, the more she felt the limitations of the Western medicine and philosophy have proven to be in reference to the global scale. Furthermore, a continued interest picks up in the Eastern hemisphere as she learns Thai Massage, and the age old organic remedies of Ayurvedic medicine from India. There is more than one way to go about what troubles you; the trick is finding which one works for you today. Schedule with Barbara and discover a new way to live in your body...pain free!
